Why the Name?
The white lily has been a symbol of purity in the Catholic tradition for centuries. Saints from every walk of life — from St. Thomas Aquinas to Bl. Kateri Tekakwitha, from St. Joseph to Our Lady herself — are depicted holding the lily as a sign of consecrated purity.
The lily does not bloom instantly. It grows slowly, rooted in dark earth, pushing toward the light. Our tagline, "Until we bloom,"captures this journey — the patient, persevering pursuit of purity that does not demand instant perfection but trusts in God's grace and the slow work of virtue.
The lotus-like flower in our logo, with its rose-pink petals, reflects both the beauty we are called to and the courage it takes to grow toward it.

Project Lily was born within the Jesus Youth movement — a Catholic charismatic community that has been forming young people in faith, prayer, and radical discipleship across India and the world for decades. The movement's emphasis on close-knit, accountable community and its Ignatian-inspired approach to growth are the very soil from which the Bloom program grows.
